AgriEye is a platform for early, quick and precise identification and prediction of disease in apple orchards. Identification is based on the collection of photographs and additional indicators from the field in real-time, processed by machine learning. The system is designed to operate on multiple platforms, from mobile phones to drones or robots in motion in the field. The mission of the system is to prevent fruit damage, both in terms of yield and quality, as well as to reduce the amount of pesticide in use, at scales ranging from individual trees to an entire region. This endeavor is led by two entrepreneurs, residents of the Druze town of Majdal Shams – “The Land of the Apple” – in collaboration with a team of agronomists and expert apple farmers from the Golan Heights, alongside experts in software, machine learning and photography.
