Online shopping is a complicated mission. Every week, the average woman spends 6 hours searching for fashion items online. The process is frustrating and time-consuming.
The biggest problem yet is that these hours of searching yield very limited results. In fact, quite often the woman is dissatisfied, not finding the item that she has in mind.
The U.S. apparel market is valued at over 75 billion dollars and continues to grow every year. With so many buyers, consumers, and styles, it is a very chaotic industry. AskLily seeks to bring efficiency, order, and simplicity to its customers and take the experience of retail shopping to the next level.
AskLily’s technological solutions revolutionize the world of fashion and the client shopping experience.
Solution
AskLily is currently at the porotype stage. We developed a smart platform, using machine learning and computer vision technology. This technology helps women find their perfect match online in a few seconds.
By answering a short quiz and sharing your pictures, the system analyzes each profile immediately and shows recommendations for fashion items that suit the woman’s style and preferences.
Market Validation
We launched our first product (MVP). The first validation of AskLily has been tested in Israel via a group of 70 women, of which 80% that showed that their recommendations matched their style. We are now moving on to our next step, where we will test the same thing but with a group of 100 women in the U.S. In this step, we will focus on the customer’s experience and measure the percentage of matches between the women testing and the results that they will receive.
Technology
Ask Lily is presenting a unique solution that creates online recommendations for women, based on fashion style, using ML and computer vision technologies. AskLily’s technology uses the information on personal style to virtually enter women’s closets, and understand their aesthetic and taste.
The combination between our data and our integrated technology allows us to be able to scan hundreds of thousands of items from the largest fashion brands within seconds and find the right items for each woman.
Go to Market
The idea that AskLily has been well received during the market validation phase - we expect to enter the market in the US within the next three months. A complete online platform, functional website, Facebook page, and Instagram page, have been established.
Other initiatives:
Register and approved to affiliate programs: Awin and Rakuten – direct access to Asos, Nordstrom, and Bloomingdales.
Collaboration with targeted influencers on Instagram such as mothers, stylists, and fashion bloggers.
Business Model
AskLily will be a leading distribution channel for retailers who will pay a monthly fee in order to promote their catalog on AskLily website.
In addition, AskLily’s business model is a revenue share by affiliate programs.
We get commotion of between 5 to 7 percent on each transaction.
In our next version, we plan to offer our users a subscription model for premium stylist services. Close
