ClassifAI is developing a system for the rapid, efficient identification of bacteria in food. Today, microbiological tests necessitate a waiting period of 72 hours prior to receiving final results. This 3-day period poses and enormous expense to many food industries, in particular to dairy, fresh meat and fish manufacturers.
The system, currently in the process of patent registration, can be integrated into the manufacturing process. It leverages the combined power of the most advanced optical and computational technologies in their fields, to provide precise identification of the type and quantity of bacteria in food samples within hours.
ClassifAI’s multidisciplinary team brings together experts in artificial intelligence, machine learning, electro-optics and microbiology and is being developed in collaboration with the Israeli Institute for Food Microbiology.
